Theriault, Registered Maine Guide (left) and Gordon Smith (far right), from
Southern Maine, pose with "Smitty's" 940 pound, 55 1/2 inch inside width, Bull
Moose. The moose was shot at 6:30 a.m. on the last day of the early season
moose hunt. Smith, who was seeking a trophy moose, was advised by
Theriault to pass on smaller bulls spotted during the hunt. Pre season
scouting, patience, and prayer are the tools that helped make this once in a
lifetime hunt a success, according to Theriault.
